TEC-100 - HARLEQUIN DIAMONDS -
AGED LEATHER AND BRONZE

The use of regular geometry, in this case Harlequin diamonds, creates a classic accent.  Note three elements in this sample:  1) the creation of leather, 2) aged bronze, and 3) the diamonds are perfectly formed.  Not stenciled, they are devoid of gaps or overlaps and always meet exactly on vertex.  Through the use of a laser and precision taping technique, this and other designs are possible every time.

DW1-EX1 - EMBEDDING

An example of how 3-dimensional the embedding effect can be.  Most viewers are shocked and amazed that this is a 2-dimensional work and that the shading and use of light and color cast a true illusion.

DW1-6 - CAEN STONE

Caen stone, a cream-colored limestone for building, found near Caen, France, provides a bellwether faux finish.  Favored for its simplicity when rendered in a 2-over-2 block formation inclusive of grout lines, the addition of color and optical texture enables enhanced interest, realism and the ability to custom color to support any rooms furnishings.

DW1-22 - GLAZING AND PALETTE DECO

For the client interested in a multiple finish approach on one wall, this finish incorporates a cordovan leather with an aged cracked metallic gold with texture.  The precision taping technique enables the appearance of faux chair rail which interlaces the finishes and prevents a harsh transition.

FAUX PAINTING - ADVANCED GLAZE

DW1-2 - GLAZED TISSUE PAPER -
ISLANDS AND FISSURES

An interesting variation on the tissue paper technique is to purposefully omit curving linear areas resulting in what is termed "islands and fissures" and providing additional depth and dimension.  By incorporating an occasional thin skim of tinted Palette Deco plaster, the finish's atmosphere is further enhanced.

DW1-8 - MULTILAYER EMBEDDING

Overglazing neither diminishes the beauty of embedding nor in any way obscures any detail.  The true translucency of our glazing media enable the addition of color layers that only enhance.  In this sample, two overglaze colors are used to augment the effect.

DW1-4P - EMBEDDING

The use of a rich, bold base color that breaks through a multicolor foreground glaze demonstrates another feature of embedding.

DW1-1 - GLAZED TISSUE PAPERCL-GIL - GOATSKIN/PARCHMENT

The use of crumpled tissue paper, embedded and locked between layers of acrylic and toned with color creates a timeless look that dresses up any space.  Combined with a layer of pearlescent glaze, the resultant shimmer is rich.

DW1-4L - MULTICOLOR BLENDED GLAZE

Embedding, a unique process that provides a truly organic look, can be varied with respect to intensity, depth, dimension and coarseness.  Whether contrasting or strongly related colors are used, the results are sure to draw compliments.
